Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking candidates for the Management in Training - Operations (MIT) Program, an entry-level, hands-on training track based in our distribution warehouse. The program offers six months of guided training in the swimming pool supply, irrigation and landscape distribution industry, leading to opportunities as an Operations Supervisor or Manager nationwide.

Training is on-site, with relocation assistance provided after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related field with minimum 2.5 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training in Operations, Management and Purchasing within the distribution center.
• Observe experienced staff to learn methods, procedures and performance standards for a sales center.
• Shadow contractors, service/maintenance and retail customers to learn the pool irrigation and landscaping business.
• Participate in classroom training at EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas (operations, financials, leadership, HR and operating systems).
• Present a comprehensive plan to senior management upon program completion.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
