Job summary

POOLCORP’s Management in Training - Operations (MIT) Program is an entry-level, hands-on training track based in our distribution warehouse. It provides six months of guidance, support and resources to learn about swimming pool supply, irrigation and landscape distribution.

Upon completion, graduates can apply for Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager roles nationwide; training is on-site, with relocation assistance after May.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain or related field; minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Experience in leadership or problem-solving roles; internships, clubs or volunteer work accepted.
• Willingness to relocate for career development; travel up to 25%.
• Interest in distribution or supply chain operations in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management and Purchasing.
• Observe experienced staff to learn methods and performance standards.
• Shadow contractors, service teams and store customers to learn the business.
• Participate in on-site classroom training at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX.
• Deliver a comprehensive presentation to senior management upon program completion.
