Job summary

GEODIS in Fontana, CA is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to establish and lead operational procedures for shipments, inventory, and equipment upkeep. You will coordinate with customer service and sales, ensure safe operations, and manage staffing and training in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will monitor KPIs, work with engineering on layout, control budget and P&L, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse management systems preferred.
• Experience with labor management systems preferred.
• Lean certifications preferred.
• Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to present information to groups of managers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and leads operational procedures for shipments and inventory.
• Maintains the physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
• Submits repair and replacement requests for equipment.
• Coordinates warehouse activities with customer service and sales.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction through frequent communication.
• Ensures safe operation and compliance with sanitation, maintenance, safety, and security standards.
• Drives operational excellence across warehouse areas and systems.
• Collaborates with engineering on warehouse layout and product placement.
• Monitors KPIs to ensure profitability and productivity.
• Oversees staffing, training, and development of employees.
• Reports hours to Payroll weekly.
• Provides hands-on management of the distribution center, including hiring and coaching staff.
• Ensures compliance with certifications like CTPAT, ISO, AIB.
• Manages budget and P&L and addresses complaints.
• Reports food safety issues for food accounts when applicable.
