Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee inventory movement, supervise 2-3 workers, and optimize operations in the distribution warehouse. You will manage inbound/outbound shipping, implement SOPs, and drive safety while maintaining accuracy and efficiency across all warehouse tasks.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to train staff on forklift operation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse management experience including inventory control procedures and inventory/ accounting relationships.
• 3 years of general warehouse operations experience.
• Superior leadership, management, motivation and teamwork skills.
• Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform all warehouse jobs including Receiving, Putaways, Picking, Replenishments, Packing, Palletizing, and Shipping.
• Directs Warehouse Workers
• Participates in continuous process improvement
• Responsible for implementing applicable standard operating procedures and ensuring performance standards are met/exceeded
• Manages inventory quality, accuracy and asset protection
• Develops stock location and order picking strategies to optimize workflow, space utilization and labor productivity
• Ensures warehouse processes are conducted safely and within the law and applicable compliance standards
• Process inbound receiving of containers or full truck, truck pallet shipments, and small parcel shipments
• Prepares and distributes operational reports
• Operates forklift and trains Warehouse Workers in safe and efficient use of same
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
