Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a proven Operations Supervisor to lead a warehousing operation at a single location in Hopewell Junction, NY. You will manage hourly staff, oversee loading/unloading, cross-docking, and customer service while aligning with Penske goals and cost objectives.

The role involves hiring participation, performance coaching, and corrective actions up to written warnings, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–6:00 pm; peak-season flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are required.
• Must demonstrate ownership and responsibility to run the operation with urgency.
• Ability to connect with associates and external customers at all levels; build rapport.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a single location's hourly workforce and processes.
• Coordinate loading/unloading, cross-docking, and customer service tasks to meet customer objectives.
• Hire process involvement and provide coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide timely feedback.
• Develop and sustain training for supervisors and associates to ensure competence.
• Ensure safety, financial controls, and adherence to company policies.
