Job summary

GEODIS in Coppell, TX is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to coordinate distribution and warehousing in a cross-dock setup, ensuring efficient use of materials, equipment and staff.

You will work with customers and industries to promote services and supervise Team Leaders, reviewing costs to drive profitable operations while supporting P&L goals.

This role also involves participating in marketing and sales efforts to ensure resources meet company objectives, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross dock operation.
• Confers with customers and reps to evaluate and promote improved services.
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
• Reviews costs and makes changes to maintain profitable operations.
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts to ensure resources meet company goals and P&L responsibilities.
• Supervises warehouse positions including Team Leaders and Operations Supervisors.
• Reports food safety problems to authorized personnel when applicable.
