Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a supervisor to oversee the timely receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise in the distribution center. The role may supervise employees operating rolling stock and automated equipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key duties include reviewing WMS reports, resolving issues via SOPs, and coordinating staffing with the Inbound/Outbound Manager. The incumbent will monitor labor programs and conduct regular reviews with management.

Qualifications

• Understanding of inventory accounting.
• Knowledge of specific inbound or outbound functions within the distribution center.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated skills necessary to assist employees in conflict resolution and one-to-one communication.
• Good oral and written communication skills to include interviewing skills.
• Computer skills: warehouse management systems, Word, Excel, and payroll/personnel systems such as KRONOS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise.
• May supervise employees operating rolling stock or automated equipment.
• Review WMS reports and notify WMS personnel of issues.
• Resolve problems using SOPs and communicate with Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Review staffing plans and staffing levels with the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Conduct weekly and monthly staffing reviews with the Inbound/Outbound Manager.
• Partner with Training Department on new employee development tracking.
• Identify improvement areas using Productivity Improvement Plan.
