Job summary

Staples Advantage Canada in Putnam, CT is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Staples World Class Supply Chain Team. You may work in six enterprise areas, including bulk/material handling, receiving, replenishment, and shipping, to pick and move products up to 100 lbs.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and flexibility; overtime may be required and you may be moved between roles as needed to meet business demands.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment; minimum three months or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Able to lift 70–100 pounds and work at heights up to 60 feet.
• Must wear safety shoes and be at least 18.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product up to 100 lbs.
• Perform warehouse tasks across six areas including bulk, porter, replenishment, receiving/putaway/returns, returns, and shipping.
• Ensure safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Unload trucks manually and palletize products; confirm accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Stack, organize, and shrink-wrap orders for shipment.
