Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in Sparks, MD is seeking an Operator 2 for Warehouse Operations to support a busy distribution center. Responsibilities include picking, packing, RF processing and shipment packaging.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, forklift certification, and the ability to work 40 hours per week on first shift. Safety and GDP procedures apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with MHE including order pickers, reach trucks, counter balance forklifts and dock stocker.
• Forklift certification to meet BD guidelines.
• Good verbal communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Pallet/Case Picking
• Processing customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
• Pick, pack and process orders.
• Processing orders through RF technology.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area following SOP.
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Train in RF device profiles and ensure accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
• Pallet build, palletizing and repalletizing for shipment.
• Inbound/Outbound/Inventory movement using WMS; ensure safe loading/unloading.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain certification.

Job Title - Operator 2, Warehouse Operations

Location : Sparks,MD

Duration - 12+ Months Contract]

Total Hours/week - 40.00

pay range -$16-20/hr

Shift Work days/hours : M - F 6am - 2:30pm

Duties And Responsibilities

• Pallet/Case Picking
• Processing customer orders including but not limited to: scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
• Pick, pack and process orders.
• Processing orders through RF technology.
• Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
• Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
• Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
• Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Pallet Build

• Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
• Re-palletizing products for shipment.
• May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
• May be required to transport pallets by MHE.
• Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement

Inbound/Outbound shipments are to be loaded/unloaded utilizing the WMS.

• Ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and impedes damages.
• Completes all assigned duties in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and following department procedures. May be responsible for operating the parcel manifest station.
• May be responsible for transportation documentation
• Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
• Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
• Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
• Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
• Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.

Material handling equipment

• Material handling equipment must be operated in a safe manner by designated associates only.
• All damage and/or maintenance issues must be reported immediately.
• Equipment must be kept neat and orderly in compliance with established procedures.
• Must be able to maintain equipment certification at all times.

Safety and Security

• Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment.
• All injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards or conditions must be reported immediately.
• Report any suspicious persons or activity.

• Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions. Assist as required. Act as back up at times of absence or vacation.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with MHE. Including but not limited to Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker.
• Must be able to obtain Forklift Certification to meet BD guidelines.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
