Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. is seeking an entry-level Material Handler for a 12-month contract in Sparks, MD. The role operates Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm with potential overtime.

Responsibilities include picking, packing, RF processing and safe loading/unloading within a refrigerated environment. The position requires a High School diploma or GED (or 2 years relevant experience) and the ability to obtain forklift certification.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with MHE including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance and Dock Stocker.
  • Must be able to obtain Forklift Certification to meet client guidelines.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • May operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
  • Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment.
  • General distribution knowledge.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload product safely in the distribution center.
  • Pick, pack and process orders using RF technology.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area following SOPs.
  • Operate palletizing and shipping activities, including dock duties as required.
  • Follow GDP and safety procedures to prevent injuries and accidents.
  • Cross-train to support other warehouse roles.

  • Material Handler II is responsible for the safe, accurate loading and unloading of product within the distribution center.
  • The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive.
  • The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.
Duties And Responsibilities
Pallet/Case Picking
  • Processing customer orders including but not limited to: scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
  • Pick, pack and process orders.
  • Processing orders through RF technology.
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
Pallet Build
  • Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
  • Re-palletizing products for shipment.
  • May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
  • May be required to transport pallets by MHE.
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement
  • Inbound/Outbound shipments are to be loaded/unloaded utilizing the WMS.
  • Ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and impedes damages.
  • Completes all assigned duties in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and following department procedures.
  • May be responsible for operating the parcel manifest station.
  • May be responsible for transportation documentation
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
  • Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
  • Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
Material handling equipment
  • Material handling equipment must be operated in a safe manner by designated associates only. All damage and/or maintenance issues must be reported immediately.
  • Equipment must be kept neat and orderly in compliance with established procedures.
  • Must be able to maintain equipment certification at all times
Safety and Security
  • Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment.
  • All injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards or conditions must be reported immediately.
  • Report any suspicious persons or activity.
Quality
  • Understand organizational quality goals.
Sanitation and Housekeeping
  • Maintain a clean and professional image.
  • To ensure the cleanliness of the facility, follow guidelines as outline
  • The associate must maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times.
Hazmat Training
  • This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness, function specific, security awareness, security plan and safety training.
Cross-training
  • Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions. Assist as required. Act as back up at times of absence or vacation.
Job Requirements
