Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring for a 2nd shift role on our production lines. You will ensure smooth line start-ups by bringing correct materials, scanning items, and maintaining supply levels.

The job requires forklift familiarity and the ability to operate a pallet wrap machine while keeping a clean, safe work area. Candidates must have at least 6 months of production machinery experience, be able to lift up to 65 lbs, and work in extreme cold environments and team settings.

• Must have 6 months work experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing facility.
• Must have 6 months of work history in the past 12 months.
• Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures as low as -30 degrees.
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Bring all products to each line and ensure lines do not run out of supplies, including pallets.
• Identify materials, bring correct product to line, and scan items before moving to next phase.
• Maintain clean working environment and report misuse of materials.
• Assist plant personnel with forklift tasks and operate pallet wrap machinery.
• Communicate material requirements clearly for training and safety.

**Job Details:****General Job Description**:This position is responsible for bringing all products, such as film, meat, bread, cheese, cartons and boxes to each line. Ensure each line does not run out of supplies, including pallets. Remove all finished product from the line to QA then to the shipping freezer while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.**Tasks**:* This position is responsible for the accurate setting of each line by identifying each material, bringing correct product to line, checking that there are enough supplies to finish the item being run and scanning each item before going to the next phase. The candidate must provide necessary supplies in the proper condition in accordance with company policy. Must maintain a clean working environment. Responsibilities may include returning unused items to proper storage locations. Responsible for keeping up with all materials and reporting misuse of raw materials and supplies. Alert appropriate personnel of potential spoilage of raw materials.* Must be willing and able to Perform a daily inspection on each lift and report damage to appropriate personnel.* Must be willing and able to Assist plant personnel with tasks requiring forklift operation.* Must be willing and able to operate pallet wrap machine and ability to train others in its safe and proper operation.* Must be willing and able to communicate material effectively for training purposes.
