Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Trainer for the Tecumseh Peterson Farm (Smart Chicken) on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on safety and forklift training, onboarding new Team Members, and maintaining documentation.

You will coordinate interpreters to ensure clear communication and support the qualification process within the plant. The position requires high school completion, strong presentation and communication skills, and proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in training or production preferred.
  • Proficient in standard computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety and forklift training for plant employees.
  • Ensure new Team Member documentation is completed and filed.
  • Provide annual plant employee training and on-the-job training.
  • Assess interpreter needs and coordinate interpreter support for clarity.
  • Assist acclimating new Team Members and guide through qualification steps.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other duties include: assess the need for interpreters in various departments for communications clarity and coordinate the assistance of the interpreter; assist in acclimating new Team Members in and around the confines of the facility and with the qualification process; other duties as assigned.**REQUIREMENTS**:**Experience**: Knowledge and understanding of the work performed in the area of responsibility preferred.
