Job summary

Vertex Mechanical is seeking a dependable Warehouse & Materials Coordinator in Reading, PA to keep installation crews equipped and inventories organized. This hands-on role ensures the warehouse runs efficiently day to day and supports field teams with materials and loads.

You’ll manage equipment flow between warehouse and field teams, maintain stock, and help with loads for installations. A strong work ethic and organizational skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED requirement.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurance requirements for driving a company vehicle.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and stay productive when managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Dependable attendance and a consistent work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, hands-on environment.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and organize equipment, materials, and tools for upcoming installation projects.
  • Prepare loads for installation crews and help load/unload company vehicles.
  • Check in deliveries and store materials in appropriate locations.
  • Record materials and equipment movement in and out of the warehouse.
  • Process unused materials returned from job sites back into inventory.
  • Assist with overstock organization and coordinate returns with the Installation Coordinator.
  • Maintain an orderly warehouse, yard, and storage areas.
  • Support inventory counts and identify shortages or discrepancies.
  • Follow safe material-handling practices and keep work areas hazard-free.
  • Jump in wherever needed to help warehouse and installation teams stay on schedule.

Vertex Mechanical is looking for a dependable Warehouse & Materials Coordinator to help keep our installation crews equipped, organized, and ready to work. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working with materials, keeping inventory in order, and making sure the warehouse operates efficiently from one day to the next.

The Role

You’ll help manage the flow of equipment and materials between the warehouse and our field installation teams. Your work will directly impact how prepared our crews are when they leave for the job each day.

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Pulling and organizing equipment, materials, and tools for upcoming installation projects.
  • Preparing loads for installation crews and helping safely load and unload company vehicles.
  • Checking in deliveries and placing received materials in their appropriate storage locations.
  • Recording materials and equipment moving in and out of the warehouse.
  • Processing unused materials returned from job sites and getting them back into inventory.
  • Assisting with overstock organization and coordinating returns with the Installation Coordinator.
  • Maintaining an orderly warehouse, yard, and storage areas.

You’ll Need
