Job summary

Miller Industries, the world’s largest manufacturer of towing and recovery equipment, seeks an organized shipping/receiving associate for the warehouse. You will verify, pack, and prepare shipments, operate forklifts, and maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced facility in Hermitage, PA.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and basic computer skills. We offer a four-on, four-off schedule, benefits, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have intermediate data entry skills and be proficient with LN and Microsoft Works.

Responsibilities

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments; prepare items for shipment.
• Unpack, inspect, and report damaged items; coordinate with shipper to rectify shortages.
• Move raw materials, components, and finished goods; stage materials to support production schedules.

Summary

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes items to departments.
• Move raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility
• Stage materials at workstations to support production schedules
• Accurately record material movements using inventory systems, scanners, or manual logs
• Perform material counts and assist with cycle counts or physical inventories
• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to leadership
• Organize and maintain designated storage areas, racks, and staging zones
• Keep work areas clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards
• Dispose of scrap, waste, and recycling materials per company standards
• Follow all safety rules, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures
• Properly operate powered and non‑powered material handling equipment
• Conduct basic equipment inspections before use
• Wear required PPE at all times
• Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Forklift experience preferred
• Computer proficient
• Other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of LN and Logistics software.

• Regularly required to wear hearing protection in a loud environment.
