Job summary

Miller Industries in Tennessee seeks an assembler to perform installation and assembly of towing equipment components. You will verify electrical, air, and hydraulic systems, build subassemblies, and route hoses and wires while following order specifications.

Applicants should have basic hand tools, knowledge of hydraulics, and 12-volt DC electrical systems, with overtime and weekend work possible as needed. Day shift opportunities available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of hydraulics and 12-volt DC electrical systems.
  • Basic hand tools and mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies functionality of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems.
  • Performs inspections before final unit inspection.
  • Builds subassemblies, routes hoses and wires.
  • Cuts, drills, and fabricates brackets per order specs.
  • Connects wiring; installs lighting fixtures and controls.

  • Summary: Performs installation and assembly of components for towing equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verifies functionality of electrical, air, and hydraulic systems.
  • Performs inspections before unit is sent for final inspection.
  • Builds subassemblies, route hoses, and wires.
  • Cuts, drills, and fabricates brackets according to order specifications.
  • Connects electrical wiring and cables.
  • Installs lighting fixtures, controls, wiring, switches, and junction boxes.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have understanding of hydraulics and 12-volt DC electrical systems.
  • Must have basic hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, sockets, wiring tools, etc.).
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends.

Beginning on 91 st day one of employment unless stated otherwise

  • Day Shift opportunities available Second shift employees receive a $1.50/hr premium (where applicable)
  • 4-on 4-off schedule; off half of the weekends during the year
  • Overtime available
  • Double time paid for work on Sundays (regardless of whether 40 hrs. have been reached in the work week)
