Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA (Plant 2) is seeking a Material Handler II to load and unload materials and to maintain material flow for production. You will read orders, receive goods, and move materials in a safe, efficient manner using a forklift and manual handling as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma and forklift experience; 2+ years’ warehouse experience is preferred. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads orders and instructions to determine materials to move.
• Receives and routes incoming materials, records shortages and damages.
• Orders material from warehouse via ERP for production lines.
• Loads and unloads materials from pallets and vehicles using forklift.
• Operates forklift and assists with packaging, crating or padding as needed.
• Keeps shipping/receiving materials stocked and supports cycle counts.
• Other duties as assigned.
