Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA is seeking a Material Handler II to safely load and unload materials and support the flow of materials for production lines. You will follow instructions, handle shipments, and assist with inventory and data entry tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires forklift experience and the ability to lift and move heavy loads, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years Forklift experience.
• 2+ years experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Reads sales orders and follows instructions to move materials.
• Opens containers and examines shipments for damages.
• Delivers paperwork to data entry and orders material from storage via ERP system.
• Loads/unloads materials from pallets and vehicles using forklift or manual handling devices.
• Prepares materials for movement with crimping, banding or stretch wrap as needed.
• Operates industrial truck to move materials and maintains inventory accuracy.
