Job summary

Viking Electric in La Crosse, WI is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler to join a fast-paced team. You will move goods from the warehouse to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, using a handheld scanner, and maintaining organized inventory. Training is provided for forklift operation, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift.
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers).
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanner operation.
• Able to work in various warehouse temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material using forklift, pallet jack, handcart, reach trucks, or other device.
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse.
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for delivery or storage.
• Keep products free from damage and organized.
• Follow procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure.
