Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Colonial Heights, VA, is seeking a Material Handler for onsite work. The role focuses on safely loading and unloading materials, maintaining material flow, and supporting distribution activities within the facility.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and related equipment, assisting with cycle counts and inventory accuracy, and collaborating with Inventory Control and Receiving leads. High school diploma and 1–2 years forklift experience required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years forklift experience.
• 2 years experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials safely and accurately to support material flow.
• Maintain ongoing inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts as requested.
• Operate hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or related equipment.
• Notify Inventory Control or Supervisors when material control issues are found.
• Work with the Distribution team to complete material transfers accurately and timely.
• Transfer, transport and stage materials, and maintain warehouse records.
• Participate in continuous improvement of the distribution department.
• Other duties as assigned.
