Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in South Chesterfield, VA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage consignment inventory, perform cycle counts, and move material within the facility using forklifts and hand trucks. You will maintain inventory accuracy and collaborate with Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years forklift experience, and 2+ years in order pulling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Consignment inventory, location to location moves, & inventory adjustments.
• Assists in the cycle counting process as requested.
• Operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or within the facility.
• Responsible for the ongoing inventory accuracy of the facility. Notifies Inventory Control, Receiving Lead & Receiving Supervisor when material control issues are discovered.
• Works with Inventory Control & Lead(s) during investigations of quality issues, inventory issues, shipping complaints and process improvements.
• Transfers, transports and stages materials in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains warehouse documentation and other related records.
• Participates in the continuous improvement of the distribution department.
• Other duties may be assigned.
