Job summary

Dover Food Retail is hiring a Material Handler II in Colonial Heights, VA. The role focuses on loading/unloading materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the Frames Department with efficient material handling.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 12+ months in a warehouse, forklift operation capability, and strong communication. Preferred: 2+ years in order pulling and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 12 months warehouse experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to operate all forms of forklifts.
• Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills.
• 2+ years' experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials safely to maintain flow for the Frames Department.
• Operate hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors and related equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and notify Inventory Control for issues.
• Collaborate with Inventory Control and leads on investigations and process improvements.
• Transfer, transport and stage materials promptly and accurately.
• Keep warehouse documentation up to date and participate in continuous improvement.
• Communicate job status across shifts and ensure work in progress continues.
• Adapt to changing requirements and help reduce costs while improving quality.
• Other duties as assigned.
