Job summary

Heyco, a PennEngineering company, is hiring a Material Handler in Toms River, NJ. The role supports the Shipping Team, stocking and monitoring production areas, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring accurate inventory and documentation to meet daily shipment needs.

We offer a comparable wage with an hourly rate of $19 plus quarterly bonuses, and benefits including PTO, holidays, and on-the-job training. A forklift license is required, with training provided upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience/training.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Solid basic math skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Valid forklift driver's license required (we will train and certify).

Responsibilities

• Stock and monitor production areas, spotting shortages and moving inventory to meet daily shipment needs.
• Consolidate warehouse inventory to keep space ready for the next day's production.
• Load and unload trucks and review shipping documentation to keep order pickers working without interruption.
• Pick and deliver Material Requirements Lists for Molding and Assembly.
• Perform cycle counts and month-end inventory.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Support the Receiving function, including scale counts and repackaging.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse (trash removal, pallet disposal, general housekeeping).
• Actively contributes to team problem-solving and process improvement efforts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience/training (or equivalent combination)
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures.
• Solid basic math skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

Regularly stand, walk, and use hands/arms to reach, handle, and feel

Frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch

Lift/move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs frequently

Good vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception

Work Environment

Fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing setting

Occasional exposure to vibration

Frequent loud noise levels (hearing protection may be required)
