Description

The Warehouse Manager provides inventory counts and supports the warehouse inventory process. Responsible for organizing, receiving incoming deliveries, managing stock, and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the warehouse.

This role ensures the availability of materials to support field crews and the project schedule.

1. Maintain an accurate inventory of meters, tools, uniforms, and safety equipment.
2. Assign meters and materials to installation technicians for daily work assignments.
3. Complete data entry for incoming and outgoing meters.
4. Research and respond to all meter/AMI-related inquiries.
5. Perform custodial maintenance of the warehouse facility.
6. Research lost meters.
7. Categorize inventory and track inventory levels.
8. Order meters and all project-related supplies in a timely manner.
9. Review purchase orders and shipping arrangements as necessary.
10. Manage a team of warehouse staff and material handlers.
11. Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety guidelines.
12. Perform additional related duties as assigned.
13. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced skills in Excel.
14. Ability to lift 50 lbs throughout the day.
15. Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
16. Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management.
17. Experience with Smartsheet is preferred.
18. All other duties as required or requested by leadership.
19. Experience in supervision, logistics, or warehousing is preferred.
20. Must be 18 years or older.
21. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
22. Forklift certification or CDL is a plus.
23. High school diploma or equivalent.
24. Prior experience in the electric and/or gas utility industry is preferred.
25. At least 3 years of driving experience with minimal non-moving violations.

Physical Requirements

1. Rare (less than 10%): Stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, crawling, climbing on/off trucks, climbing poles, gripping, climbing ladders, balancing.
2. Occasional (up to 33%): Standing, sitting, manual dexterity, seeing distant, reaching, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, lifting up to 10 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
3. Frequent (up to 66%): Walking.
4. Continuous (up to 100%): Speaking clearly, reading, hearing.

Safety

Employees must have sufficient eyesight, endurance, and physical ability to work with hazardous equipment, wear PPE, traverse various terrains, and perform job duties throughout an 8- or 10-hour day. Good communication skills and the ability to read and understand instructions are essential.
