Job Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop warehouse and inventory control teams, assign tasks, and ensure efficient daily operations.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to prevent incidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure adherence to all OSHA, GMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver department KPIs and updates to management.
- Manage inventory tracking systems to record receipts and shipments.
- Utilize MRP systems, batch reconciliation, and cycle count processes to ensure inventory data accuracy.
- Use inventory reports to identify excess or obsolete inventory.
- Manage the disposition of excess or obsolete inventory.
- Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory.
- Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels.
- Evaluate finished goods inventory to ensure readiness for shipment.
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality of direct reports.
- Hire and train new warehouse and inventory employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4-5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift certification strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of Kaban systems highly preferred.
- Possess project management skills.
- Ability to motivate and effectively manage a team.
- Ability to read and interpret operating statements and P&L statements.
- Understanding of how to positively impact a P&L statement.
- Strong understanding of inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Proficiency in Spanish (bilingual preferred).
- Familiarity with computer use, internet research, and computer-assisted tools.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and basic warehouse safety standards.
- Reliable transportation required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The role involves working in various warehouse settings with truck docks. The environment is fast-paced, with constant movement of inventory and forklifts. Ability to travel between multiple warehouses on-site and communicate effectively with upper management about product locations and counts is essential.
