Job summary

Brady Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our leadership team in Louisville, KY. This hands-on role oversees the plant warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control and shipping, ensuring end-to-end inventory accuracy and On-Time Delivery.

You will bridge strategic inventory planning with floor execution, lead a team of material handlers, optimize picking/packaging, and drive continuous process improvement using SAP and related warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering, supply chain, logistics or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of high volume distribution supervision experience.
• Experience with SAP, MRP/ERP systems and warehouse software.
• Strong supervisory and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and execute inventory plans using SAP; set optimum stocking levels.
• Oversee warehouse movements, returns, and plant metrics for logistics fluidity.
• Lead cycle counting and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Direct and mentor the warehouse team; ensure safety and disciplined processes.
• Present inventory accuracy and performance reports to senior leadership.

Job description

Brady Corporation is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on position overseeing all functions of the plant warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory control and shipping. This role is responsible for the end-to-end integrity of raw material and finished goods inventory. You will bridge the gap between high-level inventory planning and floor-level execution, ensuring that our SAP data reflects reality. Your goal is to drive On-Time Delivery (OTD), minimize waste, and lead a high-performing team of material handlers through continuous process improvement.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintain and execute inventory requirement plans using SAP; establish optimal stocking levels for both raw materials and finished products.
• Supervise all warehouse material movement, returns, and plant-level metrics to ensure fluid logistics.
• Lead the cycle counting program in active and overstock locations. Identify, isolate, and correct the root causes of inventory discrepancies.
• Make approved inventory adjustments if necessary. Responsible for identifying where inventory discrepancies originate, identifying patterns and trends associated with inventory discrepancies
• Develop and implement long-term solutions to reduce error rates, lower costs, and improve picking/packaging efficiencies.
• Direct, mentor, and supervise the warehouse team, including material handlers, to ensure disciplined work processes and safety compliance.
• Track and present periodic reports on inventory accuracy goals and operational performance to senior leadership.

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

• High school Diploma/GED required
• Minimum 5 years of high volume distribution supervision experience
• Experience in the various warehouse picking technologies
• Experience in the use of and implementations of warehouse control or management software
• Experience in the use of various barcode and scanning technologies to improve picking/packaging efficiencies
• The individual must have a proven track record of establishing disciplined work processes and improving those processes
• Strong supervisory and project management skills
• Flexible in schedule to work overtime, nights & weekends as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly & stand for 100% of shift

Additional Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics or related field
• Knowledge of MRP and familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP
• 8+ years of shipping and receiving experience
• A thorough mastery of manufacturing processes, inventory management principles and material flow procedures
• Experience performing quality checks and recording data
