Job summary

Job description

Emerson is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the receiving, warehousing, and shipping function at our facility in Aiken, SC. Key accountabilities will include implementing inventory controls that ensure the accuracy of both physical and system inventory and defining and ensuring the implementation of practices that promote the well-being and safety of the personnel under your supervision. Additionally, this role will define and implement KPIs to ensure customer service levels and warehouse efficiency.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Plan, organize, and direct all activities of the raw material, MRO, and finished product warehouses.
  • Planning and optimization of receipts, transfers, allocation, storage, distribution, and assortment to production areas.
  • Shipping finished products or subassemblies to internal and external clients.
  • Implementation of inventory controls that ensure accuracy across the physical inventory, the MRP system, and the customs system (Prisma).
  • Defines and ensures the implementation of practices that guarantee the well-being and safety of the personnel in charge.
  • Define warehouse space requirements and picking service levels based on SIOP
  • Execute write-offs promptly.
  • Lead the Annual physical Inventory.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in warehouse management and/or materials management.
  • Proven experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, management, or supply chain.
  • Proficiency in resource optimization, manpower, and cost.
  • Experience in using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement tools, as well as related improvement projects.
  • Understanding of the flow of manufactured or purchased parts and materials and their effect on shortage control.
  • Experience working under the ISO-9000 standard.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate personnel effectively and develop work teams.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience in using ERP systems (Oracle).
  • Understanding of cost drivers in manufacturing operations.
