Job summary
Emerson is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the receiving, warehousing, and shipping functions at our facility in Aiken, SC. You will implement inventory controls to ensure accuracy of physical and system inventory and promote safety under your supervision.
You will define and implement KPIs to ensure customer service levels and warehouse efficiency, plan and direct all warehouse activities, and drive continuous improvement with ERP (Oracle) and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in warehouse management and/or materials management.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and continuous improvement methods.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct all activities of the raw material, MRO, and finished product warehouses.
- Plan and optimize receipts, transfers, allocation, storage, distribution, and production area support.
- Ship finished products or subassemblies to internal and external clients.
- Implement inventory controls ensuring accuracy across physical inventory, MRP system, and Prisma.
- Define practices to guarantee well-being and safety of personnel.
- Define warehouse space requirements and picking service levels based on SIOP.
- Lead annual physical inventory.

- Plan, organize, and direct all activities of the raw material, MRO, and finished product warehouses.
- Planning and optimization of receipts, transfers, allocation, storage, distribution, and assortment to production areas.
- Shipping finished products or subassemblies to internal and external clients.
- Implementation of inventory controls that ensure accuracy across the physical inventory, the MRP system, and the customs system (Prisma).
- Defines and ensures the implementation of practices that guarantee the well‑being and safety of the personnel in charge.
- Define warehouse space requirements and picking service levels based on SIOP
- Execute write‑offs promptly.
- Lead the Annual physical Inventory.
You evaluate pros and cons, risks and benefits of different solution options. You set aggressive goals and have high standards. You separate and combine activities into efficient workflows. You delegate and distribute assignments and decisions appropriately.
- 10+ years of experience in warehouse management and/or materials management.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, management, or supply chain.
- Proficiency in resource optimization, manpower, and cost.
- Experience in using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement tools, as well as related improvement projects.
- Understanding of the flow of manufactured or purchased parts and materials and their effect on shortage control.
- Experience working under the ISO-9000 standard.
- Ability to lead and coordinate personnel effectively and develop work teams.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in using ERP systems (Oracle).
- Understanding of cost drivers in manufacturing operations.
