Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Warehouse Lead in Sherman, TX to direct the warehouse team and ensure adherence to Safety, Quality, GMP and CPS standards. You will drive shipping operations, monitor performance, and coordinate with plant leaders to maintain efficiency and accuracy throughout 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities include training new staff, documenting shipments, and selecting best shipment methods while promoting a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience backing, maneuvering, and positioning 53-foot trailers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform basic paperwork and shipping documentation.
• Leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior.
• Monitors environment and takes corrective action to protect employee safety and security.
• Communicates to ensure employees learn and comply with specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies.
• Prepares training plans and conducts or assigns safety, maintenance, machine operation and quality assurance training to new employees.
• Prepares documentation and provides performance feedback to introductory employees.
• Provides feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behavior.
• Ensures employees have required tools, supplies and area to exercise their duties.
• Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment.
