Job summary

Dwyer-Instruments,-Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment. You will coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, supervise staff, and ensure accurate inventory control on the shop floor.

The role requires leadership experience, strong inventory knowledge, and experience with ERP/WMS systems. Candidates should maintain safety standards, mentor teammates, and drive process improvements on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
• Basic computer skills (ERP/WMS systems, Microsoft Office).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and finished goods.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production lines.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain high accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
• Train, mentor, and support warehouse team members to meet performance and safety expectations.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA standards).
• Collaborate with production, shipping, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize space utilization.
• Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, scales, pallet jacks).
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions (5S principles preferred).
• Assist in scheduling and assigning daily tasks to warehouse personnel.
• Help all employees understand policies and procedures and brings issues to supervisor if there are concerns or violations.
• Maintain an effective dialogue with all employees to foster good employee morale.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
