Job summary

NOW Foods in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform all areas in the warehouse, including unloading and receiving shipments, transporting product to manufacturing, and preparing outbound freight.

You'll monitor receiving and shipping traffic to ensure efficient use of docks, support safety and quality, and work with supervisors and teams to meet daily department goals while proposing improvements to equipment use and staff scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Unloads and receives shipments; transports product to manufacturing; prepares outbound freight shipments; monitors receiving and shipping traffic to ensure efficient utilization of receiving docks and supply of materials to and from contract manufacturers at Bloomingdale location.
• Works with supervisor to monitor shift’s performance and efficiency; corrects or escalates issues to meet daily department goals; recommends changes related to equipment use and staff to increase efficiency; keeps supervisor informed of problem areas.
• Collaborates with leads, supervisors and support teams to solve issues; recommends and implements measures to improve safety, product quality, warehouse methods, and equipment performance; makes employee work duty adjustments and warehouse related decisions.
• Engages in training and development of employees by mentoring and following up with team members on a regular basis; reinforces company policies, culture, and expectations; ensures they feel supported and are adapting to the company’s culture and team; works with supervisor to include gaps into
