The role involves various functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, and operating heavy-duty equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts. Do not report employees who perform these duties as their primary role. Typical titles include: Materials Handler, Distribution Center Generalist.

Role and Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall functionality of the team.
• Ensure all orders are processed and shipped on time.
• Verify and record receipts to minimize inventory and accounting errors.
• Delegate responsibilities to shipping personnel.
• Double-check a percentage of paperwork for accuracy.
• Run reports to verify operations and identify issues.
• Assist with pulling, loading, and unloading parts as needed.
• Keep warehouse, shipping, receiving, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Process incoming and outgoing products promptly and accurately.
• Notify management of any issues causing delays.
• Ensure parts and materials are staged correctly according to layout.
• Perform inventory control functions.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
• Maintain safety standards and keep work areas tidy.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse staff activities.
• Promote teamwork within the department.

Qualifications and Education

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license.
