ASSA ABLOY is looking for a Warehouse Team Lead at our regional manufacturing facility (or Service Center) based in Aurora, Colorado.

What would you do as our Warehouse Team Lead?

You will play an integral role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and motivating a small team to meet and exceed performance goals. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for all shipping/receiving operations, warehouse inventory, transactions, as well as cycle and physical inventory counts. Ensure all inventory locations are accurate. Perform cycle counts regularly. Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory issues. The majority of your time will be in the warehouse, standing, walking, and operating equipment such as a scissor lift and forklift.

You would also:

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Provide direction and training to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and loading processes.
  • Coordinate orders to meet loading and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with internal teams for stock replenishment through periodic cycle counts.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with 3rd Party Logistics and Customer Service teams on shipments.
  • Communicate with Production regarding inventory matters.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and keep work areas organized.
  • Maximize warehouse efficiency and layout with Operations Supervisor.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory tasks accurately and timely.
  • Assist in setting and achieving strategic goals, monitoring operational costs, and maintaining inventory accuracy (target 99.5%).
  • Perform special assignments and projects as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and harmonious work environment, ensuring accountability to OSHA and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies and regulations.

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications (e.g., forklift) are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of incoming materials, product identification, and storage.
  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, computers, RF scanners, and scales.
  • Experience with ERP systems, especially Oracle J.D. Edwards CMS/WMS, is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk throughout shifts.
  • Leadership, motivation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on achieving collective goals.

Salary Range: Up to $55,000
