Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Warehouse IT Specialist to bridge warehouse operations and IT, providing WMS support, data maintenance, training, and process improvements. You will help optimize distribution center performance and reliability on-site in the United States.

The role emphasizes system configuration, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate, efficient warehouse operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or warehouse ops.
• Hands-on WMS experience and related OT (RF scanners, printers).
• Strong troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Deep database management knowledge and data integrity focus.
• Ability to map customer requirements to system configurations.
• Ability to bridge gaps between system capabilities and workflows.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary on-site contact for warehouse system issues and triage.
• Monitor WMS performance and maintain location master data and configurations.
• Support system updates, validate setups, and align with customer needs.
• Provide user training for warehouse staff and new features.
• Maintain process docs, SOPs, and drive continuous improvement.

We are seeking a Warehouse IT Specialist to serve as the key link between warehouse operations and IT, providing WMS support, troubleshooting system issues, maintaining master data, training users, and driving operational efficiency across the distribution center.

How you create impact

• Act as primary on-site contact for warehouse system issues, providing first-level troubleshooting and escalating to IT as needed.
• Monitor system performance and maintain WMS data, including location master data, SKUs, and system configurations.
• Support system updates, validate setups, and ensure alignment with customer and operational requirements.
• Deliver user support and training for warehouse staff, including onboarding and new system features.
• Maintain process documentation, update SOPs, and support accurate reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations leaders and corporate IT, on system upgrades and implementations.

What we would like you to bring

• 3+ years of experience in IT, shipping/receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or similar environment.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and related operational technology (RF scanners, printers, etc.). Preferably Blue Yonder.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose and resolve system or process-related errors.
• Strong Database Management skills
• Working knowledge of customer requirements and how they translate into system configuration.
• Ability to bridge gaps between system capabilities and operational workflows.
• Strong interpersonal skills—including communication, teamwork, customer service, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
