Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in New Jersey is seeking a Warehouse Lead, Digital to oversee day-to-day department activities, drive productivity, and partner with the supervisor to ensure accurate, timely operations.

The role includes night shift, Saturday to Wednesday, 7:30 pm to 4:00 am, coordinating workloads, monitoring KPIs, and supporting safety and 5S standards while embracing digital fulfillment processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Familiarity with WMS and digital/e-commerce fulfillment workflows.
• Proficient in Excel and data reporting; AS400 experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Warehouse Lead, Digital to oversee the day-to-day activities of the department, ensuring efficient and seamless operations while partnering closely with the supervisor and team to drive productivity, service, and operational excellence. This position follows a schedule of Saturday - Wednesday, 7:30 pm - 4:00 am.

How you create impact

• Support daily operations across departments and adjust to changing business needs, schedules, and volume demands.
• Coordinate team workloads, communicate priorities, delegate tasks, and help ensure daily operational goals are achieved.
• Monitor and maintain key operational reports, KPIs, overtime tracking, work orders, productivity metrics, and end-of-day reporting.
• Provide professional customer service by responding to emails, inquiries, and requests in a timely manner.
• Investigate order, inventory, and productivity issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate IT support as needed.
• Train and support associates on operational procedures, SOPs, and best practices while fostering a positive team environment.
• Maintain department supplies, track critical equipment, and ensure compliance with housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Support safety, QSHE compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, audits, meetings, and other operational projects as required.

What we would like you to bring

• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or e-commerce environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control processes, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Understanding of digital/e-commerce fulfillment processes and customer order workflows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, data entry, and reporting; AS400 experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of leading teams to achieve operational goals.

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
