Job summary

City of Richmond, Virginia is seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as temporary, part-time Warehouse Technicians. In this crucial support role, you’ll help ensure our frontline teams can serve the community efficiently and safely.

This position covers inventory management, receiving and distributing supplies, data entry, vendor quotes, and light forklift operation. You will assist customers and City staff, process invoices, and support special projects with accuracy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of related experience
• Basic computer proficiency (Word/Excel)
• Equivalent combination of training and experience as approved by the department

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining inventory supplies. Performing periodic inventories.
• Assisting customers and City employees in obtaining needed materials.
• Performing data entry functions to maintain accurate logs and records. Processing invoices, verifying accuracy against purchase order and supplies received.
• Soliciting quotes from vendors and ordering materials needed.
• Receiving inventory and moving inventory to desired location. May use a forklift to move inventory.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.
