Job summary

Versant Health, a leader in vision care administration in the United States, seeks a Warehouse & Inventory Specialist to support daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory, efficient shipping/receiving, and a safe, audit-ready environment in the distribution center.

You will conduct cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and manage returns, while operating forklifts and adhering to OSHA safety standards. Strong attention to detail and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Active, valid driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions, correspondence, and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records for warehouse items and consumables.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits.
• Identify, research, and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged items.
• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials; verify shipments against PO, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Distribute incoming mail and merchandise to appropriate departments.
• Pick, pack, label, and stage outbound shipments.
• Operate forklift and maintain forklift certification records.
• Ensure proper stock rotation and organize warehouse locations for efficiency and safety.
• Comply with OSHA and internal safety standards; support site safety and disposal procedures.
