Job summary

Versant Health is seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Specialist in Westampton Township, NJ to support daily warehouse and inventory operations, ensure accurate tracking, proper handling, and efficient movement of materials within the distribution center.

You will maintain inventory records, conduct cycle counts, receive and ship materials, operate forklifts, and uphold OSHA safety standards while contributing to an audit-ready environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Active, valid driver’s license required
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety practices
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions, correspondence, and documentation
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Responsibilities

• Inventory & Materials Management: maintain accurate inventory records for non‑merchandising items and conduct cycle counts and audits.
• Shipping, Receiving & Distribution: receive, inspect, unload, verify shipments against POs and packing slips; stage outbound shipments.
• Equipment & Warehouse Operations: operate forklift and maintain certification records; ensure stock rotation and organization.
• Safety, Quality & Compliance: manage hazardous waste activities and keep a clean, safe warehouse in line with OSHA and internal standards.
• Additional Responsibilities: perform other duties to support changing business needs.

What are we looking for?

The Warehouse and Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse and inventory operations to ensure accurate tracking, proper handling, and efficient movement of materials within the distribution center. This role focuses on inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving activities, materials organization, and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The position operates within established procedures and systems and contributes to maintaining an organized, safe, and audit-ready warehouse environment.

Where you will have an impact

Inventory & Materials Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records for non‑merchandising items, including warehouse consumables, office supplies, warranty materials, cases, boxes, and related supplies.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits to ensure alignment between physical stock and system records.
• Identify, research, and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and damaged items.

Shipping, Receiving & Distribution

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials; verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Distribute incoming mail and merchandise to appropriate associates or departments in a timely manner.
• Pick, pack, label, and stage outbound shipments in accordance with shipping requirements.
• Prepare and ship Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) to manufacturers for repair, replacement, or credit, as required.

Equipment & Warehouse Operations

• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain forklift certification records and support equipment upkeep documentation.
• Ensure proper stock rotation and organization of warehouse locations to support efficiency and safety.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Manage site‑level hazardous waste activities, including proper storage, documentation, permitting, and coordination of disposal in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to support changing business needs.

What’s necessary to do the job?

• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Active, valid driver’s license required
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety practices

This role is compensated on an hourly basis. The expected hourly pay range for this position is $20.00– $22.00 per hour, based on factors such as experience, skills, and role requirements. Actual pay within the range will be determined during the hiring process and in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws.
