Job summary

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an Inventory Assistant for Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC. The role manages requisitioning, inventory, and delivery within the warehouse operations.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with mandatory reporting during adverse weather events. Ideal candidates have strong math skills, inventory process knowledge, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Email/NCAS or E-Procurement; a valid NC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Possess good math skills.
• Working knowledge of the Inventory process and basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Email, NCAS and/or E-Procurement).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A valid NC Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle requisitioning, inventory management, and delivery functions for a multi-million dollar operation.
• Load trucks according to the most efficient route and spot check to ensure correct supplies are loaded.
• Deliver supplies to the correct division representative for storage.
• Clean and rotate old stock, stock inventories neatly by date manufactured.
• Perform special moving jobs on campus as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse areas and vehicles; assist with special projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
