North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an Inventory Assistant for Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC. The role manages requisitioning, inventory, and delivery within the warehouse operations.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with mandatory reporting during adverse weather events. Ideal candidates have strong math skills, inventory process knowledge, and proficiency with Excel/Word/Email/NCAS or E-Procurement; a valid NC driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle requisitioning, inventory management, and delivery functions for a multi-million dollar operation.
• Load trucks according to the most efficient route and spot check to ensure correct supplies are loaded.
• Deliver supplies to the correct division representative for storage.
• Clean and rotate old stock, stock inventories neatly by date manufactured.
• Perform special moving jobs on campus as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse areas and vehicles; assist with special projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Description of Work We are currently recruiting for an Inventory Assistant at Murdoch Developmental Center; the position handles the requisitioning, inventory management, and delivery functions for a multi-million dollar operation and is located in the Warehouse.

• Requires heavy work in participation in inventory management and physical space relocations.
• Responsible for loading trucks according to the most efficient route and spot checking to ensure the correct supplies are being loaded.
• Delivers supplies to the correct division representative for storage.
• Cleans and rotates old stock as necessary, stocking all inventories neatly and by date manufactured.
• Performs any special moving jobs on campus as needed.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all warehouse areas and condition of vehicles assigned to the warehouse and assists with any special projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $48,810.00
