Job Description:

About the Role:
The Warehouse Coordinator role at the Northlake, TX location processes inbound/outbound loads and materials through SAP. Coordinates dock and yard space usage. Assists supervisors in coordinating activities of workers engaged in the receipt, storage, and delivery of materials, utilizing knowledge of systems, equipment, procedures, and processes related to warehousing and material movement. Provides direction and support to hourly team members in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, equipment, and engagement. Foster and promote continuous improvement and a positive work environment. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measured items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, orders, or other records.
  • Records shortages, overages, and damages, and corresponds with Purchasing and Customer Service to achieve resolutions to issues.
  • Monitors work levels on docks and in the warehouse and communicates issues to supervisor.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Communicate effectively/appropriately with team members, supervisors, and management team.
  • Train employees in standard work practices, procedures for safety, quality, PIT certifications, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Perform activities of team members covering absences, breaks, or manpower shortages, and develops an expertise level to run all positions in the warehouse and the office.
  • Monitors productivity, assigns rush picks, and adjusts work assignments based on workload.
  • Assists in assigning work duties based upon work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
  • Data computer entry, tracking, perform and prepare various clerical duties for management (examples - detailed reports, standard work, meeting notes, or notifications).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Important Details: This is a full-time, permanent role on 1st shift, which operates from 6:00AM to 2:30PM Monday through Friday.

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus
  • The ability to work overtime and weekends.
