Job description

As the nation's premier tire distributor, ATD’s coast-to-coast distribution network provides approximately 80,000 customers across the U.S. and Canada with rapid and frequent delivery of high-quality tires, custom wheels, and shop supplies.

Position Description:

$16/HR - $18/HR

The Warehouse I position involves prioritizing and picking products to fill orders, staging products for loading, physically moving and lifting products weighing up to 150 pounds, organizing warehouse stock, assisting in daily closing of the warehouse, and compiling reports on damaged or outdated stock, over- and under-shipments, and product returns. The role also includes operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) safely and maintaining necessary licenses.

  1. Load and unload delivery trucks, handling tires and products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, including rolling, destacking, and team lifting of heavier items.
  2. Operate powered industrial vehicles safely and maintain relevant licenses.
  3. Prioritize and pick materials to fulfill orders and prepare products for loading.
  4. Verify incoming and outgoing products for accuracy and report shortages or discrepancies.
  5. Organize warehouse stock by product line and physical location, ensuring sufficient space for overflow.
  6. Perform facility maintenance and housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and debris removal.
  7. Prepare and submit reports on inventory status, damaged stock, and product returns.
  8. Assist with administrative tasks, including paperwork and daily warehouse closing procedures.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned or deemed appropriate by management.

Experience that Best Prepares You:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • Relevant work experience demonstrating ability to work under supervision
  • Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the company

Physical Demands, Work Environment, Travel:
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Handling tires over 50 pounds may be required.
  • Work environment involves exposure to weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Travel requirement is approximately 5% of the time.
