Job description

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate I position ensures the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods within the distribution center. Responsibilities include order pulling, packing & shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse housekeeping.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Use RF scanners for inventory picking to fulfill customer orders.
  2. Move orders and carts to designated areas for processing.
  3. Inspect inventory and notify supervisors of issues.
  4. Scan and verify items against shipping orders.
  5. Apply packaging to prevent damage during transit.
  6. Validate product attributes like lot/batch numbers and quantities.
  7. Print and attach shipping labels.
  8. Move packages to carrier staging areas.
  9. Report problematic inventory or shipment conditions.
  10. Use RF scanners for inventory management tasks such as counts, relocations, and receiving.
  11. Verify received inventory against purchase orders or ASN.
  12. Perform inventory putaways and address inaccuracies or safety concerns.
  13. Maintain a safe, clean, and obstruction-free work environment.
  14. Perform cleaning, sorting, and waste disposal duties.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • Ability to perform all essential functions satisfactorily.
  • Preferred: 3+ months of warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain it preferred.
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with Windows preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Mental & Physical Demands
  • Attention to detail for accuracy.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Regular interaction with team members.
  • Work at a fast pace.
  • Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception.
  • Repetitive motions: reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying.
  • Lift/move up to 20 pounds regularly, up to 70 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Climb ladders, stand/walk on concrete for extended periods.
  • Bend, twist, kneel, crouch.
  • Work long hours as needed.
  • Use hands frequently for keyboard operations.
Equipment Used

RF scanners, PC workstation, forklift, monitors, keyboard, mouse, barcode scanner, printers, scale, tape gun.

Work Environment

Indoor, temperature-controlled with potential exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and dirt. Typically Monday-Friday, may require overtime. Safety-sensitive position.
