Job summary

OnTrac is hiring a Certified CDL Hostler / Yard Driver at our Logan Township, NJ location. The role involves safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock, working closely with the yard team and Operations Management. Location: 701 Crossroads Boulevard, Door S, Logan Township, NJ 08085.

Pay is $27.23 per hour with a Sunday-Wednesday night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM. OnTrac offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision, 401(k) with company match,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
• Minimum 1 year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery
• Class A CDL required
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks
• Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening
• Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program
• Pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards
• Position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor
• Switch trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility
• Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management

The Must-Haves
