Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Warehouse Worker I to support daily warehouse operations in Columbia, MD. The role involves inbound shipments, picking, packing, and inventory control using WMS and handheld scanners. You will assemble kits, restock areas, perform cycle counts, and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail for accurate inventory handling and order fulfillment.
• Able to operate handheld Android devices, barcode scanners, and WMS.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse processes.
• Basic computer proficiency and email usage.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for an 8-hour shift.
• Capability to lift up to 70 lbs safely.
• Adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inbound shipments by unloading deliveries and moving packages to sorting areas.
• Sort incoming materials using scanners and WMS for restocking or routing to kitting areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders with accurate labeling and on-time shipment.
• Assemble kits by combining components per work instructions.
• Stock new inventory in designated locations with accurate labeling.
• Replenish pick locations with reserve inventory for daily fulfillment.
• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits with handheld devices.
• Complete basic administrative tasks including data entry and email communication.
• Support warehouse improvement projects like relocations and reorganizations in WMS.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment according to standards.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties to support efficiency and team goals.
