Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply in Centralia, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load outbound trucks, unload inbound merchandise, and stock materials. The role requires forklift operation and adherence to safety protocols, with a 9AM–5PM, Monday–Friday schedule and an hourly wage of $18.

POSITION SUMMARY

Loads outbound trucks, unloads and puts away inbound merchandise, and performs clean-up duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Unloads materials from our customers’ and suppliers’ trucks.
• Put away or stock inbound materials.
• Pulls customers’ orders from inventory on hand.
• Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
• Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
• Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
• Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
• Assist in counting inventory.
• Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily
• Followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
• Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
• Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Education

Experience
