Job summary

Pet Food Express is seeking Warehouse Equipment Operators to join our 197,000 sq ft Distribution Center in Oakley, CA. The role focuses on safely unloading, receiving and moving inventory using forklifts, reach trucks and cherry pickers, reporting to the Inbound Distribution Supervisor.

This non-exempt, temporary FT position offers a tiered starting pay and potential conversion to full-time. Schedule Monday–Friday with overtime as needed; compensation varies by role (forklift, order picker,

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of warehouse equipment-operation experience preferred.
In-house training and recertification provided.
Experience selecting large scale orders in warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs (occasionally 75lbs).
Flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks and other warehouse equipment safely.
Manage high-volume receiving dock using sit-down forklifts to transport large pallets and unload shipments.
Staging and put-away of incoming inventory to designated storage racks and zones using reach truck or cherry picker.
Inventory verification using scanners to check barcodes and ensure shipment accuracy.
Perform daily equipment inspections and operate equipment according to safety standards.
