Job summary

Pet Food Express is seeking Warehouse Order Selectors for our 197,000 sq ft distribution center in Oakley, CA. You will pick, pack, label, shrink wrap and stage orders to ensure products are ready for shipment, while meeting lines-per-hour targets and maintaining safe, accurate operations in a fast-paced warehouse.

This non-exempt, temporary FT role starts at $19.00/hour, with possible conversion to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs (75lbs occasionally).
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, label, shrink wrap and stage orders to ensure product is ready for shipment.
• Meet production rates and productivity goals, including lines-per-hour standards.
• Maintain productivity while balancing speed, accuracy and safety.
• Operate pallet jacks, RF scanners and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Accurately select and palletize products to minimize damage.
• Keep pace while order selecting and hand picking.
• Use RF scanners to verify inventory and shipment accuracy.
• Perform inventory counts and restock to maintain stock levels.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Report discrepancies and hazards to supervisors.
