Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

To provide assistance and support to both internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver orders to customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Receive and process daily rush orders and weekly orders from Corp and Tigard.
• Check order staging, put away stock, and pull will-call orders.
• Maintain bin locations and process ship-outs from Bend branch.
• Handle warranty and return processing, including paperwork verification and shipment preparation.
• Order and return compressed gas tanks as needed.
• Clean and straighten the warehouse daily.
• Work well as part of a team and follow all company policies and standards.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with counter/phone sales and notify customers of backorder status.
• Recycle cardboard and manage branch garbage.
• Fill freight claims when necessary.
• Assist with stocking showroom and attend ongoing training classes.
• Work on special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED plus 2-3 years related experience, including shipping/receiving, material handling, HVAC/R, customer service, or sales.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Typing 30-50 wpm, computer operation, use of office equipment, organized, able to prioritize, communicate effectively, and operate a forklift.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Lifting, pulling, reaching, carrying, loading, typing, driving, and travel.
• Percent effort: 40%-70%
• Weight: 1-60+ lbs.

MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND

Performing complex tasks with high accuracy and hand-eye coordination.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Exposure to dust, dirt, heat, cold, and dirty parts, generally in reasonable conditions.

ATTENDANCE

Compliance with attendance standards required; overtime may be necessary.
