Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform diversified receiving, storing and distribution duties that support the hospital’s supply chain operations. You will maintain records of inventory received and issued and help ensure on-time delivery to multiple sites.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, standing and bending for extended periods, and basic math and computer data entry skills. Prior related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry material in excess of 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift and/or reach for extended periods of time.
• Ability to understand simple mathematics and inventory flow.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions from written orders or electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving duties including verifying accuracy of warehouse deliveries, inspecting items for damage, and entering information into the department system.
• Perform distribution duties including filling pick-list requests, packing items, and loading delivery vehicles.
• Operate motorized and manual material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, reach trucks).
• Meet established receiving/distribution standards of operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per policies.
