Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking an Inventory Clerk to receive and store deliveries, fill department requisitions, and transport stock to units. You will maintain accurate records, operate lifting equipment as needed, and support the daily flow of supplies across hospital units.

Responsibilities include unpacking, shelving, and delivering to floors, plus keeping inventories current and compliant with policies. A high school diploma and basic math skills are required; forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Prior related experience, preferred.
• Driver's License, preferred.
• Ability to understand simple mathematics and inventory flow.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receives and stores deliveries; ensures quantities recorded accurately in the inventory system.
• Fills requisitions from departments and issues supplies from stock; maintains stock records with UPC bar codes.
• Unpacks and stores supplies on shelves or floor per instructions and identifiers.
• Transports articles exceeding 50 lbs and operates lifting equipment like forklifts as required.
• Delivers exchange carts to medical/surgical units.
• Compiles weekly and monthly inventories issued and supplies in stock as required.
• Maintains a clean and orderly Material Management area and observes department policies.
• Accesses medication delivery areas as authorized for required duties.
